A Day in Amalfi

Today was a very easy day for our group....a chance to enjoy a much needed day of rest and take a side tour to the city of Amalfi.  After a quick breakfast and some much hand laundry, we jumped into a taxi for the 45 min ride into the city.

Well, as you can see, another beautiful day along the Amalfi Coast.  This is the view from our bedroom window with the sea and mountains below us.

Laundry hanging from the window.  Hope it drys!

Fountain in the main square

A hand made grotto of the ancient city of Jerusalem depicting the birth of Christ.  This was built into the side of a local home.

 A vespa parking lot...sort of.

Working donkeys moving broken concrete to a dumpster.

A view of  one of the many beaches along the waterfront.

Cathy striking an Amalfi Coast pose!

Afternoon G&T, of course!

Next Pic's inside the Cathedral and accompanying museums

A nice, relaxing day.  Now back to our B&B for another great, home-cooked dinner with all local ingredients (including the wine) to fuel up for tomorrow's hike.
